This is a quote by Jack Kerouac, where the title of my blog comes from and I love it! It comes from his book, On the Road, and while I couldn't really get into it, I still adore the quote.
I want to do a thousand things and see the world and have grand adventures and really live. I want to stand on top of a building just to capture the perfect photo. I want to become better at painting and with my art in general. I want to climb mountains. I want to cross bridges, discovering what's on the other side. I want to meet new and interesting people. I don't just want to settle for the mundane or settle at all. I want to venture. I want to dare.
I once asked a friend upon their hesitation to enter into one of the biggest adventures in my Topeka life: "The question you have to ask yourself is: Are you one of the mad ones?" Adventure inevitably occurred.
mad- frantic, rabid, raving, to talk wildly, enthusiastic.

WORD! Preach it, sister!!! Why not live extravagantly, making the most of every moment? The tricky part is balancing reason and "madness," never being irresponsible or careless with your safety, other people's well-being, or the bills in the process of living madly. I definitely believe we are some of the mad ones :)

this is interesting to me....you definitely stated some things that I want to grow in...just living life a little more than I have been....I just want to be MAD for Jesus!! not myself...
