I finally went to see the doctor today and whatever's going on with my body might be two things:
1. I have a really nasty cold/flu
or
2. I might have walking pneumonia.
At this point, I have had a fever and night sweats every night this week since Monday, where I have only gotten a few hours of sleep per night. Last night I even made it a point to drink lots of Benadryl and go to sleep early. I lay in my bed for HOURS and I was so hot, wearing only a t-shirt and shorts at that. I took my temperature and it was 100.5. Ahhhh, all I want to do is SLEEP and I can't! That is probably the most frustrating thing of all... I finally cried about it today. What an awful week.
The doctor said that if the fever and cough (which began today) continue, I may have walking pneumonia. And she did give me a prescription for an antibiotic if that's the case. I'm sick of taking antibiotics! And because of my lack of appetite, I've lost three pounds just since Monday.
I got some DVD's from the library to keep me company tonight, so it can't be all bad. AND I found a book that I LOVED reading when I was 10.

sorry dude!
i hope it's option 1. and childhood books are the best!
I think it IS option 1, because my cough hasn't gotten terribly worse... so there's a yay!
....or you may have mono.
not to freak ya out or anythin, but when i was in high school i got mono. and i had similar symptoms as yourself. (the sweats and the chills) however, i had a horrible sore throat and my glands swelled to the size of beach balls and it lasted for like 8 weeks. welll, not ALL those weeks did i experience those symptoms, but...i couldn't go to school. which was awesome.
anyway, dude. tryin to cheer ya up :) :) i so hope you feel better. have you seen shopgirl?
take care of yourself. OH. i had a dream about your parents the other night. they were there and we were at your house. it was great to see them again. :)
o. and i dont think you have mono. i was only kiddin :)
Oh, Mel you crazy girl! I don't think it's mono, either. I actually think I'm getting better! I slept for nine hours last night-- the most all week-- and I feel a thousand times better!! My nose is starting to feel more opened up and my throat is way less sore.
I love how my parents were in your dream... so random! What was going on at my house?
what was the book you got? :) and im still prayin you get better by the way...
